Key Design Screens
Overview:
Design, build, and user test a digital prototype for a mobile application that solves a specific problem for a target audience and addresses an issue of equity. The prototype application must be based on original research, effectively demonstrate an understanding of UX/UI and visual design principles, make use of persistent data (a database), and demonstrate specific user workflows within the application.

Solution:
My app is trying to solve part of the problem around reporting sexual assaults for college-age students. There are many barriers to reporting assaults or violence and prevent many victims from coming forward and getting the justice they deserve. These problems cannot be solved overnight and will require years of societal change to break down this barrier. Since these difficulties in reporting assault still persist, I wanted to design an app that allows victims of assault to document what happened and have the events recorded for when they are ready to report. This way, they have a record of the assault at the time it happened, and the app serves as their “outcry” witness. The app provides other resources such as information about legal rights and the legal process, mental health resources, information and directions on how to receive medical assistance, and live phone and chats with professionals to talk to at any time.
